About the Role
EBAD seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Deburr Technician, reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The position is located in Moorpark, CA. The Deburr Technician is responsible for maintaining high-quality standards in our manufacturing processes and is essential in ensuring that all components are free from burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
Responsibilities
- Deburring Components: Removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts using various tools and techniques.
- Surface Finishing: Polishing, sanding, and refining surfaces to meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspecting parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and documenting any deviations.
- Tool Maintenance: Ensuring deburring tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Working closely with machinists, engineers, and quality control teams to address any issues related to part finishing.
- Installing STI's: Installation of steel threaded inserts to meet blueprint requirements and ensure on time delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Experience with various deburring tools and techniques, including hand tools, pneumatic tools, and automated deburring machines.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and correct imperfections with precision.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent quality.
- Knowledge of Blueprints: Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with them.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to communicate technical instructions with engineering department.
- Work with little or no supervision, previous lead experience a plus.
- Minimum High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.
- Must be able to meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements.
Pay
Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
