About the Role
CFD Research Corporation is seeking a Deburr Technician to join our team and play a pivotal role in the manufacture of high-fidelity aerospace-grade machine components. This new role will work on a growing team of engineers and technicians, focusing on polishing and deburring parts to support technology development programs designed and prototyped at our Hollywood, Alabama Engineering Test Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in a machine shop atmosphere, including reading machine setup sheets, tool lists, and other related documents. Strong communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Polish and deburr aerospace-grade machine components.
- Read and interpret machine setup sheets, tool lists, and related manufacturing documents.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and technicians to support technology development programs.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
- High School Diploma required; minimum of 4 years of experience in a Deburr/Polishing environment.
- Experience with common tools and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Proficient in working with a variety of materials, including plastics, aluminum, steel, stainless steels, and nickel alloys.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Familiarity with AS9100 processes.
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Cetec).
- Experience with aerospace hardware.
- Experience working with machinists to improve processes.

This position is onsite in Hollywood, AL.
