Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload workpieces onto grinding and deburring equipment.
- Inspect workpieces for defects, irregularities, and imperfections prior to and during processing.
- Measure and mark materials to ensure proper dimensions, specifications, and tolerances are achieved.
- Perform grinding and deburring operations to remove excess material and create a smooth, quality finish.
- Clean and prepare cores and metal components for production and finishing processes.
- Band, organize, and prepare finished metal products for movement and shipment.
- Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and product quality.
- Utilize precision measuring tools and instruments to verify finished dimensions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements.
- Absorb additional production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Deburr Technician, Grinder, or in a similar manufacturing or fabrication role preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of grinding techniques, finishing methods, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy workpieces and materials.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to metal dust, noise, and production equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks throughout the workday.
