Deburr Operator I - 2nd shift

About the Role

Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products according to blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
• Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
• Blend lines using multiple sanding tools to meet engineering requirements.
• Maintain excellent hand-to-eye coordination and good hand dexterity.
• Lift and move parts using required safety and material handling techniques.
• Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, and interact well with co-workers.
• Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
• Perform other various duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Skills

• Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge of applications.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Proficient in basic shop math.
• Safety-oriented and able to follow safety policies.
• Ability to work in a standing position for up to 10 hours.
