Debt Settlement Phone Negotiator

About the role

The DSC Negotiator is responsible for managing and negotiating debt settlement opportunities with third-party debt settlement companies. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain professional partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound and inbound calls with debt settlement companies to negotiate account resolutions and settlement terms
• Manage ongoing communication via email and phone to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with debt settlement partners
• Review and analyze account details to determine appropriate negotiation strategies
• Track and document all account activity accurately within internal systems
• Ensure all negotiations and communications comply with applicable regulations, including FDCPA guidelines
• Maintain performance metrics related to settlement rates, productivity, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in debt settlement or collections negotiations, or a related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of FDCPA and other applicable compliance regulations
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills, including professional email correspondence
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Customer service experience required
