Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the quality assurance of debris monitoring field operations
  • Maintain project tools, equipment, and paperwork
  • Assist in morning/evening sign in/out procedures and training classes or remediation as required
  • Assist monitors with electronic ticket process and QA/QC of tickets, logs, and 214 Daily Activity Logs
  • Ensure monitors are working in correct areas, including within the client's jurisdiction and approved debris removal sites
  • Visit assigned monitors multiple times per day, reviewing their work, answering questions, and ensuring activities are conducted safely and correctly
  • Ensure contractors are adhering to program requirements, including removal of only eligible debris and Management of Traffic (MOT)/Temporary Traffic Controls (TTC) where required
  • Attend daily safety meetings and reinforce safety topics to monitors
  • Resolve field conflict between monitors or between monitors and debris removal contractors in a respectful and professional manner
  • Answer monitor questions on eligibility and debris monitoring and collection best practices
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and complete all required training

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge for operating a Windows-based laptop
  • Basic knowledge for operating a tablet and troubleshooting issues
  • Appropriate understanding of FEMA’s PA program related to debris removal
  • Positive, friendly, courteous customer and client skills
  • Capacity to build a strong team, be a team leader, and share knowledge
  • Good teamwork and cooperation skills
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and work instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English and write legibly
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Valid Insurance Card proof of liability insurance
  • Possess a reliable and dependable vehicle for following trucks
  • Possess a cellular phone with vehicle charger
  • Mobility required to travel to disaster sites and affected communities working on-site
  • Ability to sit or stand for hours at a time
  • Ability to climb ladders, trucks, and platforms up to 20 feet
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. throughout the day
  • Ability to work in high degree temperatures with high humidity for long periods of time
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, motor vehicle, and criminal background check
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior Debris Monitoring Experience
  • Prior Debris Field Supervisor experience preferred
  • Debris experience with data management/entry, operations, or administrative preferred

Schedule

  • Ability to work as early as 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days a week during response period, with occasional hours of 14-18 hours per day
  • Ability to work up to 100+ hours per week as needed during response period, including weekends
