About the role
This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while using a hand and/or rider pallet jack. You will maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand and/or rider pallet jack to move product and materials through various departments (Flat-Pack, debone, pack-out, shipping, receiving, coolers, and freezer).
- Keep lines and pack-out department stocked with necessary supplies and product.
- Complete safety checks and fill out hand and/or rider jack safety inspection forms.
- Lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
- Return all equipment and supplies to assigned areas and submit paperwork to specified personnel.
- Use verbal and written communication skills to interact via radio, document issues, and complete inspection forms, trainings, or other paperwork.
- Report any issues to the Lead and/or Supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- 6 months of continuous work history in the last year.
- Must be located in or willing to work in Washington, Benton, or Madison counties.
- If previously employed at Tyson, a 180-day waiting period before reapplying applies.
- Applicants may have worked at Tyson no more than two times previously.
- If you failed a drug screen, a 6-month waiting period before reapplying is required.
- Team members interested in transferring from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Certain roles require background checks; additional documentation will be provided if an offer is extended.
Pay
$17.40 per hour.
Schedule
1st Shift: Monday - Friday (5:15 AM - 1:45 PM) with possible Saturdays.
