Dean of Students (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About the role
Collaborates with District staff, parents and students to identify high risk students for future prevention services. May visit students and parents in the home to determine cause for absenteeism, academic or discipline problems. Monitors these students as they enter and go through school to determine impact of prevention activities.

Requirements
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
- Five years teaching experience in any grade level
- Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
- Prior To Start Date: Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
- Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
- Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction or related field
- Five years teaching experience in the appropriate grade level for the position being filled
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) Endorsement

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Cholla High School - Starr Pass & La Cholla Area
FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
Internal Candidates
Will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
