Dealerships Tax Services Manager
About the role
As a Tax Manager in our Dealership Tax Services group, you will play a key leadership role in providing comprehensive tax consulting and compliance services to closely held businesses and pass-through entities. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners, executives, and finance leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on complex tax matters and strategic planning initiatives. This role sits within our broader tax practice and supports clients with sophisticated needs, including multi-entity structures, growth planning, and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee tax research to support client positions, address technical issues, and identify proactive planning opportunities
- Partner directly with clients and internal engagement teams to advise on a wide range of tax compliance and consulting matters
- Manage and review tax compliance and planning processes, ensuring accuracy, effective implementation of tax strategies, and strong client relationships
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, developing trusted advisor relationships with business owners and leadership teams
- Lead, train, and mentor interns and staff, fostering professional development within a collaborative, high-performing team environment
- Coordinate multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting critical deadlines
- Contribute to firm initiatives, including client development efforts, process improvements, and delivering an exceptional client experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting and/or a public/corporate mix
- Big Four or large regional CPA firm experience strongly preferred
- Active CPA, EA or JD required
- Experience serving pass-through entities and closely held businesses strongly preferred
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts
- Proven leadership and project management experience, including overseeing engagement teams and managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service and long-term relationship building

Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,500.00 - $195,400.00 per year.
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid work model for candidates located near a Crowe office. Candidates who are not within commuting distance of a Crowe office may be considered for a remote work arrangement, subject to business needs.
