Dealership Used Car technician

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostic testing on used vehicles to identify mechanical and cosmetic issues.
• Congduct repairs and maintenance on used cars, including engine work, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and quality standards before release for sale.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
• Collaborate with the sales and parts departments to source necessary components and ensure timely vehicle preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety procedures.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an automotive technician, preferably with used vehicle inspection and repair.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
• ASE certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical bulletins.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
