Dealer Sales Representative - MidAtlantic
About the role
Our Aftermarket team brings the magic of Seakeeper to boat owners. As a Dealer Sales Representative, you'll help ensure our dealer network provides unmatched sales, installation, and service support to our customers. You'll manage existing dealer relationships, develop new dealers, and support the Product Support Team.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing dealer relationships and develop new dealers in key locations
- Drive Seakeeper sales through our dealer network with account management including education, training, and supporting dealers throughout the aftermarket process
- Document, track, follow up, and close sales leads in NetSuite (our CRM system)
- Stay current and knowledgeable on new and existing product changes and attend internal on-site training in our Tampa, FL training center
- Aid in the marketing plans and attend events to promote Seakeeper
- Represent Seakeeper at fishing tournaments, boat shows, and other dealer events
- Support and maintain world-class customer experience in the region through your dealer network
- Provide business development guidance on best practices to dealers
- Occasionally address field issues and visit vessels requiring factory-level support for diagnosis, troubleshooting, documentation, or data collection
Requirements
- 3+ years Sales or Account Management Experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or technical institute
- Love for the marine industry
- Based between Virginia Beach, VA and Charleston, SC
- Passionate about working with people and having a "won't take no for an answer" attitude
- Mechanical and Electrical technical knowledge
- Professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, and well-organized
- Self-motivated with superior time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills
- Results-driven, a proven closer, and of unquestionable integrity
- Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor’s degree
- Related work experience working in a sales or product support role selling a complex manufactured product (e.g., machinery, mechanical equipment, engines, etc.)
- Experience working as a Sales Rep, Account Executive, Business Development, Engineer, Training Manager, Service Manager, Technical Manager, or Product Support Manager
- Previous experience in the marine industry or dealer/business development
- Demonstrated success communicating and building strong relationships with a variety of customers and personality types across all levels of an organization
- Bilingual in Spanish
More details
- This is a remote position, and you must reside in the respective territory
- On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)
- Your territory will include Delaware to NE Florida
- Travel anticipated up to 50% of the time, mostly within the assigned territory
- You’ll report to the Regional Aftermarket Manager, based in Maryland

The Dealer Sales Representative role is part of our Aftermarket Team, which is a part of our Sales and Service department. Our team structure allows our Sales and Support teams to collaborate and work cohesively to provide the best experience and peak efficiency for our Seakeeper Dealers – and in turn, our end users.
