About the Role
The Dealer Sales Representative (DSR) will grow sales through retention and expansion of existing assigned dealers while acquiring new dealers, leveraging comprehensive hauling solutions for the professional-grade (Pro Grade) trailer market. Through proactive outreach and excellent customer service, you will build strong relationships with dealers and serve as their primary contact. By promoting the value of our brands and support programs, you will act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating market understanding and product positioning. This role partners with internal cross-functional teams to ensure a "best-in-class" customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with assigned dealer principals and representatives to ensure exceptional customer experience, driving sales expansion through retention and growth of share of wallet.
- Solicit and develop new dealers in available territories.
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline to forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance against targets.
- Ensure excellent customer service and end-to-end order fulfillment.
- Monitor customer activity and inventory movement, evaluating our position relative to the overall business and establishing yourself as a trusted partner.
- Maintain touchpoint cadences and log customer activities in the CRM.
- Own relationships and meet account-specific goals for assigned Strategic Accounts, including travel to dealer locations or hosting them at our facilities.
- Conduct structured quarterly business reviews with top-tier dealers.
- Obtain and convey market intelligence to guide pricing, programs, and product enhancements.
- Train customers on product features, benefits, and comparative advantages over competing brands.
- Leverage ERP, CRM, and Business Intelligence tools to drive sales effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve growth and customer experience goals, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
- Proven track record of sales growth and customer acquisition.
- Relevant product, industry, and channel expertise.
- Experience in product training and customer education.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Ability to travel (less than 20% of the time).
Preferred Qualifications
- Account management experience in a B2B environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience.
- 5+ years of equipment experience.
- Travel requirement of less than 30% with occasional overnight stays.
