About the role

A Table Games Dealer deals cards, sells chips to customers, pays customers and collects bets, and verifies fills/credits. Essential duties include providing excellent guest service, adhering to AML regulations, maintaining a friendly relationship with customers, exchanging cash for playing chips, ensuring wagers are placed before cards are dealt, dealing cards according to casino standards, computing payable odds, paying winning bets and collecting losing bets, possessing good knowledge of Agua Caliente 21 games, adhering to casino policies, procedures, and internal controls, maintaining table security, keeping tables clean and neat, depositing paperwork in a drop box, verifying currency, and supervising table games.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent guest service.
• Maintains a friendly relationship with customers.
• Exchanges cash for playing chips.
• Ensures that wagers are placed before cards are dealt.
• Deals cards according to casino standard procedures.
• Computes payable odds to pay winning bets.
• Pays winning bets and collects losing bets.
• Possesses good working knowledge and understanding of Agua Caliente 21 games.
• Adheres to casino policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Maintains integrity of table games activity.
• Responsible for table security at all times.
• Maintains a clean and neat table at all times.
• Responsible for depositing paperwork in drop box.
• Verifies currency before placing in drop box.
• Supervises table games activity (though no direct supervision).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in dealing cards.
• Must be auditioned, meet Agua Caliente Casinos' dealing efficiency requirements, and pass appropriate proficiency tests.
• Must be able to deal the game in a fluid manner.
• Must possess the ability to differentiate cheque colors and appropriate values of each.
• Must have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate well with the public.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
• Work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Typically housed in an office environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.
• Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and multi-line telephone.
