About the role

The Dealer is responsible for the efficient and responsible operation of Table Games at Seneca Gaming Corporation, conducting assigned games in compliance with company policies, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and efficient dealing at assigned table.
  • Maintain continuous inspection of cards, ensuring security at all times.
  • Exchange customer currency for chips and deposit paper currency in the proper container (drop box).
  • Ensure the safety of all gaming chips and monies entrusted.
  • Assist customers in playing games and ensure adherence to established rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards to immediate supervisor.
  • Conduct games in compliance with appropriate rules and procedures for Nation Gaming Operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Comply with all information security policies and procedures, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with patrons, staff, and management.
  • Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and colleagues.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Complete all required SGC training programs within nine months of employment.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience.
  • Must be fast and accurate in handling cash.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using units of money.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact well with customers and employees.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand for long periods, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Requires fast, repetitive motion of hands and wrists, and frequent reaching and bending over gaming tables.
  • Must maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud but can increase to loud on the casino floor.

Pay

Starting rate: $10.35 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
