Brief Description UNDERSTANDING The warehouse supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the DC warehouse, including managing staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient receiving and shipping processes, monitoring safety compliance, and coordinating with other departments to optimize warehouse productivity; key duties include assigning tasks, tracking inventory levels, resolving operational issues, and upholding quality standards within the warehouse environment. This position will ensure the safe operation of personnel and equipment; ensure all shipping and receiving deadlines are met, maintain the highest level of inventory accuracy. Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to other employees in the performance of all duties. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Albanese Confectionery Group (ACG) policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsible for overseeing the current DC Warehouse operation, warehousing assessment, collaborating with the Supervisor, Primary warehouse on overall cross-training program. Must have thorough knowledge of warehouse best practices, able to educate and mentor staff within 1.) Receiving and inspection; 2.) Material Handling and Put away; 3.) Slotting; 4.) Storage and Inventory Control; 5.) Picking and Packing; 6.) Load Consolidation and Shipping; 7.) Shipment Documentation; 8.) Labor scheduling and planning. Work across an integrated fulfillment process (customer service, warehousing, transportation, inventory) to translate daily executional plans. This includes being a collaborative partner for Perfect Order metrics; as defined in the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, a perfect order is when a product is delivered to a customer in the right quantity, condition, and time, with the correct documentation, and at the right cost. Majority case-pick and some full pallet picking and put-away, (some partials) which include scheduling labor and equipment and synchronizing with outbound transportation to ensure that the picked orders arrive at the appropriate time and ready for transport, utilizing a drop trailer program and customer routed freight. Picking too late can cause a missed pick-up window or carrier detention charges. If shipments are held up, it may also result in compliance penalties from the customer. Internal customer lead and support for demand planning (internal transfer, put aways), retail, logistics, manufacturing, procurement, customer service. Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
