Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-job training to new hires and tenured employees in various operational areas of the warehouse.
- Identify training needs and develop appropriate programs and training methods to meet those needs.
- Train individuals or groups in new hire and tenured roles (e.g., loaders, unloaders, lanes).
- Inspire employees to meet and exceed production goals.
- Conduct skill needs assessments, identify gaps, set training objectives, and update training policies and procedures.
- Coordinate trainings and re-certifications, ensuring consistency in training design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Observe employees to assess the effectiveness of training programs and fulfill any additional training requirements.
- Document training programs and modules, provide follow-up for refresher courses, and ensure trainees are aware of order accuracy procedures and conformity.
- Exhibit and practice positive communication and team-building skills to maintain a professional environment.
- Comply with safety policies, report unsafe activities, and maintain a training log with trainees.
- Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with new associates and maintain a working knowledge of all processes, best methods, and practices.
- Function as a team member within the department and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying degrees of complexity.
- Effective time management to meet dynamic goals and deadlines.
- Ability to read and understand policies/procedures and communicate them to employees.
- Advanced communicator, both in written and speaking forms.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
