About the role

The candidate will support the Americas data center operations space, focusing on supply chain and procurement, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement sourcing strategies for the latest technologies, product innovations, and design developments in the data center space.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce production/construction times, reduce risks, and costs.
  • Develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery.
  • Drive results through competitive bidding, negotiation, and analysis of data and market trends for the category.
  • Think long term, drive multiple initiatives, communicate appropriately, and influence customers and suppliers at all levels.
  • Work collaboratively with significant autonomy in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity exists and continuous innovation is desired.

Requirements

  • Proven experience driving large-scale process improvements resulting in measurable value.
  • Experience with NPI processes and managing supply chain from concept development to mass production to launch.
  • Ability to lead feasibility analysis, conduct cost deep dives, and understand and evaluate design specifications and functional parameters.
  • High attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinking and execution, influencing teams to adopt change using smart technologies.
  • Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated analytical, financial, and quantitative skills, using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/owner mentality.
  • Comprehensive foresight, devising strong plans of action and ensuring execution on time, every time.
  • Strong influencing skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
  • Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.
