About the role
The DC Procurement Manager - New Production Introduction (NPI), Data Center Supply Solutions is responsible for supporting the Americas data center operations space. This role requires strong supply chain and procurement skills, analytical and financial acumen, and the ability to manage large-scale supply chain and procurement improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement sourcing strategies for the latest technologies, product innovations, and design developments in the data center space.
- Collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce production/construction times, reduce risks, and costs for Amazon.
- Drive results through competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends for the category.
- Think long term, drive multiple initiatives, communicate appropriately, and influence customers and suppliers at all levels.
- Work in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity exists and continuous innovation is desired.
Requirements
- Proven experience driving large-scale process improvements resulting in measurable value.
- Experience with NPI processes and managing supply chain from concept development to mass production to launch.
- Ability to lead feasibility analysis, conduct cost deep dives, and understand and evaluate design specifications and functional parameters.
- High attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Demonstrated ability to influence teams to adopt change utilizing smart technologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where ambiguity exists and continuous innovation is desired.
- Committed to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge.
- Demonstrated analytical, financial, and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience.
- 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations.
- Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python.
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.
