DC Operations Manager

About the role

Assist the DC manager to oversee all aspects of a single distribution center, including the service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day compliance with company operations, policies and procedures.
• Maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, productivity, etc.
• Provide training, guidance, and counseling as needed to each DC team member.
• Manage a staff of 1-15 supervisors, and up to 300 hourly team members.
• Establish annual goals and plans, and support team members and others as needed for effective recruiting, hiring, and training.
• On-time evaluations of all team members.
• Prepare and manage annual operating budget.
• Monitor and coordinate expenditures within the department, and obtain approval on any expenditure exceeding $1,000.
• Aggressively manage all risk and risk-related costs to provide a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Above average computer skills
• 2+ years’ experience as a distribution center supervisor with proven record of success
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments within one center
• Desired college degree or logistics certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
