DC Forklift Operator - Inbound

About the role

Operate fork trucks in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while unloading trucks and moving freight within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Move incoming merchandise from truck to dock, and dock to correct stocking areas.
• Stock all rack merchandise and arrange rack surplus from zones appropriately.
• Set down rack surplus for zones to enable order fulfillment and replenishments to stocking locations.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks requiring a fork truck.
• Replenish outbound totes as needed.
• Assist with maintaining mezzanine zones.
• Maintain safety standards while operating equipment and identify unsafe practices.
• Serve as a trainer for team members with experience, ensuring training is conducted on schedule and documentation is complete.
• Explain job duties and functions to new team members and communicate departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must work well in a team environment.
• Operating knowledge of fork trucks and power equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) desired.
• Experience operating various types of power equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of parts lines in warehouse and surplus merchandise locations.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
