DBT Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program LPC / LCSW

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking licensed professional counselors and licensed clinical social workers with expertise and a passion in the area of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Local candidates in MO are preferred, but we are open to eligible candidates located outside of the St. Louis region who may be interested in joining our team through providing telehealth services. Remote providers must be professionally licensed in Missouri as well as in the state they reside.

Our dedicated and multidisciplinary team of 70+ colleagues are willing to share their clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development. Monday-Friday, dayshift. Onsite and remote work available.

About the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program

Clinicians applying to this program need to be trained and/or willing to be trained in adherence to the Linehan protocol, including participating in weekly DBT consultation group. We are interested in candidates who work well with adult and/or adolescent patients. Subspecialty or additional specialty interests are welcomed.

• Tailor your caseload to have as little—or as much—variety in case presentations as you would like and as appropriate to your skillsets.
• Opportunities to work at all levels of care, including outpatient care (traditional individual outpatient therapy, outpatient group therapy) and separate intensive outpatient programs for adults and adolescents.

Responsibilities & Opportunities

• Build a diverse caseload around your different areas of interest and specialization, including behavioral health conditions outside of your program focus.
• Schedule flexibility to help achieve your lifestyle preferences while maintaining an active patient caseload and participating in your specialty program needs.
• Access to a centralized intake office that screens and schedules a steady flow of clients.
• Efficient and professionally run billing service.
• Marketing support and assistance in managing managed care, including credentialing.
• Opportunities for clinical presentations, speaking engagements, consultations, and research.
• Weekly training seminars and longer, formal training seminars (SLBMI is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists).

Compensation

A financial plan based upon a percentage of net cash collections, allowing you to have more independence in your practice while earning competitive compensation. This model allows for the ability to earn more if you desire a larger caseload.

Requirements

• Completed a Master's or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g., MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D.).
• Fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently.
• Remote providers must also be professionally licensed in the state they reside.
• Credentialed-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri.
• Required 90-day wait period for insurance credentialing prior to starting.
