About the role

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is seeking friendly and outgoing individuals to join our team. We are a nationwide chain known for our toasty sandwiches and positive work culture.

Responsibilities

• Help customers enjoy lunch by providing fast, friendly, and efficient service
• Prepare and deliver quality sandwiches, salads, soups, and other menu items
• Manage food safety and cleanliness standards
• Operate cash registers and handle customer complaints
• Perform various tasks at different stations as directed
• Clean and maintain the kitchen and dining area
• Handle delivery and pickup orders

Requirements

• At least 16 years old
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Knowledge of common allergens and how to manage them
• Team player mentality
• Able to stand/walk for 3 hours or more

Qualifications

• Food safety certification required for Illinois applicants within 30 days of employment
• Flexible schedule available for morning and day shifts (8am-4pm)
