About the role
ExpertCare is looking for reliable, compassionate, and helpful Youth Mentors to work one-on-one with our Recipients. You will support, encourage, and assist with skill-building activities in clients' homes and in the community to help grow and strengthen their personal goals. ExpertCare serves Community of Mental Health Recipients in Southeast Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to Recipients in their homes and community settings
- Assist with skill-building activities
- Encourage and help Recipients achieve personal goals outside of their home environment
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
- Comfortable supporting individuals with varying abilities
- Reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
- Must be 18 years or older
