Description
The Dayshift Production Supervisor at Smurfit Westrock is responsible for ensuring the timely production of quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations. This includes managing departmental metrics, staffing, and employee performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience if external candidate; printing experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to do the jobs he/she is supervising or to quickly gain a working knowledge of those jobs
- Good Mechanical Aptitude
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to foster team work and motivate individual performers
- Knowledge of or ability to learn safety rules and procedures, operating, maintenance, and technical policies and procedures
- Reliable and dependable
- Able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
Safe Work Requirements
- PPE: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs or Earmuffs, Safety Shoes, Gloves when required, Hard Hats, and any other PPE Required based on the job or task
- Compliance with Smurfit Westrock’s employment policies, handbook, and workplace safety policies, rules, and procedures
- Submission of Safety Concerns and Safety Work Order / Incident Reporting and Learning
- Must follow Training Matix assigned in the Learning and Development System
- Must have a clear understanding of the STOP Work Process
What You Need To Succeed
