Days Warehouse Associate Forklift Operator

About the role

Warehouse associates are the foundation to our company’s success. They work actively, safely, and independently to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process, while ensuring quality standards. As a Warehouse Worker, you will support the shipping and/or receiving functions within our warehouse, performing duties in a timely manner while maintaining inventory and warehouse work areas, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general warehouse duties as assigned, including forklift put-away, let-downs, will-call selection, returns, sanitation, pallet breakdown, pallet wrapping, order selection, loading, and receiving
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and keep the warehouse area, loading dock, and trailers clear and clean
  • Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately
  • Perform daily safety checks of the assigned forklift/pallet jack in accordance with company policy
  • Perform damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy
  • Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, and complete vehicle inspection checklist
  • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines
  • Review work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations
  • Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear
  • Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines
  • Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
  • Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10–35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, and dry)
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check

Pay

Starting $18 per hour

Schedule

Morning shift with a 4 AM start time. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Off Wednesdays and the weekend.
