Daycare Worker - Lead (2026-2027 School Year)

Position Summary

Cabot Public Schools Child Development Center is seeking patient, attentive child care workers for children aged 6 months to 4 years old.

Essential Tasks And Responsibilities

• Provide care for children, including setting schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, changing diapers, and sanitizing rooms and toys.
• Develop and encourage age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children learn basic skills and concepts, such as communication, manners, sharing, etc.
• Maintain a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
• Encourage the exploration of interests and developmental social skills.
• Ensure children are learning positive behaviors and provide guidance or approved discipline as needed.
• Prepare children to enter the next level of care or for entry into school.
• Keep records related to childcare.
• Work with parents to help children progress towards educational and behavioral goals.
• Adhere to all policies of the District.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the building administrator and other central office administrators, as designated by the Superintendent.

• The ability to pass a background check.
• Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
• A strong understanding of the stages of childhood development.
• Attentiveness to the needs and safety of children.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Arkansas driver’s license.
• A record of immunizations.
• A college degree in early childhood education will be considered.
• Experience will be considered.
• You must be willing to take:
• CPR/First Aid
• Arkansas New Staff Orientation

Contract

190 day contract - 1 week before teachers return for PD in the fall
