Daycare Worker

About the role

We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to join our After School team. The Daycare Worker’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after-school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. As a Christian ministry, we aim to serve kids and students in our community by offering awesome after-school care and activities. Mentoring Alliance exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, to provide tangible help and eternal hope.

We consider a Daycare Worker to be first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17-20 hours per week during the school calendar year.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities in an after-school setting.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to kids in the community, having an eternal impact.
• Exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.

Requirements

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors aligned with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Some post-secondary training highly preferred.
• Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
• Able to work Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
• Pass a mandatory background and sex offender check.
• Valid driver’s license or valid ID.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Dependable transportation.

Skills

• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.
