Daycare Worker

About the Role

We are seeking ministry‑minded individuals to join our After School team as Daycare Workers. The primary role is fostering youth development in an after‑school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. This position is non‑exempt, part‑time, averaging 17–20 hours per week, and offers the chance to have an eternal impact and serve as a role model in the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary‑aged children in after‑school enrichment activities.
• Model Christ‑centered values and serve as a minister of the Gospel.
• Support the mission of Mentoring Alliance to provide tangible help and eternal hope to kids and families.

Requirements

• At least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred; post‑secondary training highly preferred.
• Pass a mandatory background/sex offender check.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license or other valid ID.
• Dependable transportation.
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).

Desired Skills and Abilities

• Passion for and love of working with elementary‑school‑aged children.
• Experience working with elementary‑school‑aged children (preferred).
• Agreement with and exhibition of behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Spanish‑speaking ability (greatly valued).

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
