ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the program outside the school hours
- Manages the program staff and operations
- Manages evaluation and assessment procedures for the program
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and training of all staff
- Creates the planning and implementation of enrichment opportunities
- Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy environment for students
- Maintains daily open communication with parents and Aides
- Maintains confidentiality
- Reports any suspect abuse
- Mets all applicable licensing regulations
- Manage the operations of the afterschool center or program
- Ensure staff has the tools and equipment needed to do their jobs
- Monitor the environment for health and safety hazards
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma a must but prefer General education degree and two years previous experience in childcare
- Must be certified annually in First Aid/CPR, and professional development requirements
- Must be able to push items of 50 lbs. or more
