Daycare Aide

About the role

Provide child care to children ages 6 weeks to 4 years in a classroom setting. Work under supervision of Daycare Lead Teacher and principal of building. Duty days: 181.

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom activity planning.
• Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.
• Alerts the teacher to special needs of individual children.
• Helps maintain individual records for each child.
• Assists teacher in maintaining neat learning and play environment.
• Assists with the supervision of children during regular play periods and lunch supervision.
• Assists with arrival and dismissal of student and confers with parents as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma.

Pay

$14.00/hour

Schedule

6 hours/day; Assistant #1: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM; Assistant #2: 11:30 AM – 6:00 PM; both include a 30‑minute lunch.
