About the Role

A Warehouse Technician coordinates and completes the day-to-day operational functions of packing, shipping, receiving, and distribution of goods and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a combination of tasks: receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within facilities.
  • Read production schedules, work orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order of all inventory items.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using hand, pallet jack, or Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • Assemble orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or convey them to packaging or shipping departments.
  • Mark materials with identifying information as per company standards.
  • Track and document amounts of material or items received or distributed.
  • Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Use a computer to enter records.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments and locations.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements.
  • Operate hand trucks, forklifts, and/or lifts for material handling.
  • Support teamwork to attain department objectives.
  • Adhere to company, department, and safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in operating Powered Industrial Trucks according to company standards.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
  • Proficiency in navigating and using computer systems, including MRP software (Excel, Word, Fishbowl, Outlook, Access, Windows OS).
  • Authorization to work in the United States and reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to use provided formulas to derive values from raw data.
  • Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
  • Must exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
