Day Program Manager
Summary Description
The Program Manager provides case management services and coordinates and implements appropriate programmatic designations for Harc Day Programs individuals. They serve as the primary liaison between Harc and funding agencies, parents, and residential providers. The Program Manager writes timely, comprehensive reports, attends scheduled meetings, completes necessary paperwork, and provides direct care support when needed. They also directly supervise direct support staff and provide training.

Advances Harc's mission by supporting community and governmental advocacy efforts, demonstrating individual care and respect, and promoting financial stability through participation in fundraisers. Supports the total program plan of individuals with intellectual disabilities, collects and analyzes information, and develops comprehensive Action Plans.
Responsibilities
- Supports Harc's mission by advocating for the community and government, providing care, and participating in fundraising events.
- Coordinates and communicates the total program plan for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Assists participants with personal needs and monitors Individual Plans and Action Plans.
- Attends and participates in individual meetings and submits reports to funding agency representatives.
- Maintains accurate participant records and follows Harc and Medicaid reporting requirements.
- Provides follow-up services for discharged individuals and directs comprehensive services for Day Programs.
- Directs and assists staff in planning, coordinating, and implementing services, and ensures adherence to safety protocols.
- Trains staff in best practices and provides direct supervision based on union contract and agency policies.
- Performs logistical functions such as daily staffing assignments and staff time and attendance monitoring.
- Provides counseling support and follows behavioral plans as necessary.
- Assists participants in obtaining necessary services and makes referrals when needed.
- Conducts and documents staff meetings and performs specialized training.
- Chairs in-house committees as assigned and administers medication when certified.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human service field.
- Experience in Special Education, Counseling, or behavioral programming, with at least one year minimum.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for Windows.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, reach, stand, and pull.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and complete significant amounts of computer screen work and data entry.
- Training requirements and recertification as required by DDS, CARF, or Harc.
