About the role

The Lead Staff supports the Program Coordinator/Program Manager in administering the DDS Day Program. This position requires a strong understanding of DDS program requirements, organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, leadership in team efforts, and the capacity to work with developmentally disabled adults in structured settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Coordinator with daily operations of day support programming.
  • Complete daily staffing schedules and transportation assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attend mandatory DDS meetings in compliance with DDS and CPM guidelines.
  • Provide transportation when necessary.
  • Assist Direct Care Staff in daily job responsibilities.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and filed weekly.
  • Track, gather, and prepare individual data monthly for quality assurance reviews.
  • Work with staff to maintain safety standards at the facility and agency vehicles; report findings to supervisor.
  • Facilitate completion of all documentation related to individuals serviced each day.
  • Ensure all staff are proficiently in-serviced on individuals, PCPs, BSPs, and protocols.
  • Track and document petty cash expenditures daily (where applicable).
  • Facilitate teamwork and encourage innovative strategies to foster a productive work environment.
  • Seek appropriate supervision and guidance when needed.
  • Attend meetings and events as directed.
  • Respond effectively to crisis and emergency situations with a calm and reasoned approach.
  • Adhere to CPM and DDS policies and procedures for reporting incidents to guardians, Coordinator, DDS team, and CPM management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of field-related experience.
  • Knowledge of DDS systems.
  • Ability to interact with people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Knowledge of basic computer technology and software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
