Day Porter - Full -Time

Location: 1128 Cooke Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23504

About the role

To support general labor services including litter pick-up, cleaning, and handyman tasks such as painting, carpentry, lighting, and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Operate a pick-up truck to drive to different stops on a scheduled route.
• Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted.
• Perform labor duties as required by team lead, including:
  • Litter pick-up along highways.
  • Cleaning and labor tasks to maintain various retail properties.
  • Using a leaf blower to clear sidewalks, changing trash bags, and inspecting properties for issues.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience closely related to the field.
• Experience working outdoors.
• Ability to follow directions and read maps.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must pass and maintain drug-free status; employment and random drug tests required.
• Ability to operate a pick-up truck safely.
• Ability to lift 50-70 lbs. occasionally.
• Moderate lifting (no greater than 70 lbs.), reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping.
• No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required.
• Ability to stand for a full shift, including walking, climbing stairs, and bending as required.
