Day Porter

About the role

North End Teleservices is seeking a reliable and dedicated Day Porter to help maintain a clean and organized environment in our call center. This position is crucial in ensuring a comfortable and professional workspace for our employees and clients.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities regularly
• Restock restroom supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels
• Ensure that restroom fixtures are in good working condition and report any maintenance issues
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and countertops in the break rooms
• Empty and clean garbage receptacles
• Maintain a clean and organized appearance in break rooms
• Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming common areas
• Clean glass surfaces and mirrors as needed
• Properly dispose of trash and recyclables
• Monitor and replace trash bags as necessary
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and restroom/break room supplies
• Report supply needs to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow company policies and procedures related to cleaning and maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and practices

Working Conditions

This position involves working in an indoor office environment. Physical effort, including lifting and bending, is required. Day Porter may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and odors.
