Day Hall Monitor
Position Summary
IMSA is actively seeking applications for the part-time position of Day Hall Monitor in the Office of Residence Life. This position is a part-time .875 FTE, 10-month, non-exempt, employment-at-will position. Hours/Shift/Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor safety and security of residence halls and occupants by completing rounds of all floors, viewing security monitors, locking/unlocking spaces, conducting emergency drills, and responding to emergencies
- Basic cleaning and disinfecting of residence hall
- Communicate all student issues with appropriate staff including Student Affairs, residence life staff, maintenance, health office, attendance office, and security office
- Ensure well-being of up to 96 students in the hall by addressing behavioral issues, escorting students to main building, providing mentorship, and checking in with students in hall due to distance learning or excusal from class
- Proficient use of Student Information System (PowerSchool)
- Assist with food service, provide supervision during service hours, and monitor external food deliveries
- Deliver medical bags to health office, facilitate student mail pickup, provide attendance accountability checks, and ensure student environments are generally organized and clean
- Transport students to immediate care or emergency room in the event of an emergency in one of our IMSA vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in academic setting/work with adolescents highly desirable
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards
- Substantial time is spent working on a computer
- This role generally requires mobility, written and verbal communication, hearing and visual capabilities

COMPENSATION
- Compensation for this position is $15.00/hr.

- Please note that part-time employees must cover the equivalent of the employer cost equal to the FTE
