Day Habilitation & Respite/Drop In Manager

About the role

The Day Habilitation program located in Slingerlands, NY currently has a full-time, 40-hour Day Hab & Respite/Drop In Manager position available. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, which includes a daily 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The rate of pay is $22.50/hour, and this is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities

The Day Hab & Respite/Drop In Manager is responsible for managing and ensuring their teams run efficiently, within operational guidelines and agency policy and procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards. A strong driving history preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of individual and agency information.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Preferred two years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership skills.
• Must demonstrate effective decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Must be empathetic, compassionate, patient and reliable.
• Must have sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English to communicate effectively with people supported and team members and to complete required documentation in accordance with regulatory and agency standards.
• Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, which include activities such as lifting and/or moving items up to 50 pounds, twisting/bending, positioning self as needed to complete tasks, and movement within the classroom and/or throughout the building for extended periods of time.
