Day Custodian (Safety Services Department)

About the role

This is an entry-level position performing custodial maintenance work at PowerSouth. The incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license and be capable of general housekeeping duties, including operating equipment for vacuuming, shampooing, and buffing floors, as well as selecting and using proper janitorial products. Previous custodial experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining janitorial services, including sweeping floors, dusting common areas, and cleaning windows.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom facilities and other building/office areas, including mirrors and windows.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, restocking restrooms with soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and toilet liners.
• Clean and maintain breakrooms, including trash/garbage removal, making coffee, wiping counters/tables, and cleaning refrigerators weekly.
• Assist in setting up meals/meetings, including preparing coffee, drinks, food setup, serving, and cleanup as coordinated with the Communications department.
• Promote teamwork, communication, and cooperation within PowerSouth and with member systems, demonstrating accountability, integrity, and respect.
