About the role
Position primarily in the Eastview High School Activity Center.

Responsibilities
- Clean building areas and perform minor repairs, routine maintenance and preventive maintenance as directed or required.
- Perform grounds maintenance, pick up trash, mow, pull/spray weeds, snow removal, etc.
- Comply with school recycling program.
- Move and assemble furniture, etc.
- Perform duties in a timely, neat, and efficient manner.
- Absorb and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Previous custodial and routine maintenance experience, preferred.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
- Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
- Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
- Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
- Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
- Conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
Compensation / Benefits
Compensation / Benefits According to contractual agreement (based on 2026-27 contract)
- Custodian: $22.86 - 26.57 Hourly
- If benefit eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment.
