About the role

This position assists customers in their shopping experience by properly stocking shelves and displays.

Responsibilities

• Implement Cosentino Customer Service Standards
• Unload and sort incoming shipments and stock them efficiently
• Keep back room and cooler/freezer areas neat and ready for new deliveries
• Stock grocery shelves by matching item UPCs codes to shelf tags and using the “face front” display method
• Accurately count and record merchandise
• Change shelf tags, price markers, and label/price mark merchandise with missing UPC codes
• Maintain product quality by monitoring expiration dates and rotating ad items
• Ensure work area and department are clean and safe for customers and coworkers
• Comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety procedures
• Answer customer questions accurately and courteously
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and recognize when to involve management
• Support company by completing additional tasks, assisting other stores or departments, and gaining new skills

Requirements

• Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan
• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Skills

• Ability to operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently
• Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired results
• Basic math and reading skills required for the position
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills for positive customer and peer interactions
