About the Role
This full-time position primarily supports the adult day center by providing personal care services, accompanying vans, and occasionally assisting with in-home care. The role is housed at the LIFE St Mary facility in Feasterville-Trevose, PA, with potential for local travel and use of a personal vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to maintain participants' independence in activities of daily living, including toileting, showers, eating, and grooming.
- Assist participants with physical activity, exercise, and walking.
- Offer behavioral supervision or support, such as reality orientation, medication reminders, diet restrictions, and emotional reassurance.
- Engage in general activities, including conversing with participants, recreation, meal and snack serving, and light housekeeping.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification in the state where the PACE Organization is located.
- Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population (strongly preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt to change.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic experience with email and calendaring systems.
- Ability to engage in frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, and bending.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
- Position may require up to 10% local travel using a personal vehicle.
