Day Care Center Aides

Provide care for children

• Grooming
• Feeding
• Changing diapers
• Cleaning rooms and toys

Responsibilities

• Create and encourage age-appropriate learning and socialization
• Maintain a safe and healthy workplace
• Monitor children during outdoor and indoor activities
• Work with teachers and parents to help children progress towards educational and behavioral goals
• Keep appropriate records such as attendance and time sheets
• Coordinate art, music, games, and other activities
• Promote positive behavior and provide guidance or approved discipline, as needed
• Auxiliary with agency events

Requirements

• Patience
• Ability to lift and carry children
• Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of childhood development
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Child Development Associates Certificate preferred

Pay

Salary for this position is $16 - $18/hour, commensurate with previous experience, references, and other factors.

Schedule

Full Time Regular, First Shift (Day), 40 hours per week
