Job Summary/Basic Function
Davis Fitness Attendants are responsible for providing for the safety of patrons at the Fitness Center in the Davis Stewart Center. This includes, but is not limited to: ensuring access to the facility only to verified Wildcard holders, answering questions, maintaining a clean workspace and facility, providing for the safety of all facility users, selling memberships, checking out fitness and recreation equipment, and providing excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Current student of Weber State University
- American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with First Aid (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
- Demonstrated customer service and problem solving skills
- Able to lift 25lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a recreational environment
- Availability for early morning, evening and weekends
- Able to lift up to 50lbs

Physical Requirements of this position

- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
