Davenport- screw machine Setup Operator-MUST HAVE SCREW MACHINE EXPERIENCE

Purpose

Operate Davenport machines to produce manufactured product that meets quality requirements.

Position Expectations And Job Accountabilities

• Maintain the Davenport machines assigned.
• Interpret shop drawings.
• Learn and use various precision measuring instruments.
• Perform record keeping responsibilities, including attribute & SPC charting, lot splits, and job card/scanner input.
• Document and move materials to the next operation.
• Understand and meet specifications for quality products.
• Perform daily lubrication, cleaning, and chip removal of assigned machines.
• Select proper materials, make adjustments, choose tools, and perform minor machine maintenance.
• Solve minor problems and work with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and other departments.
• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area.
• Monitor and maintain other machines as business needs dictate.

Certifications And Licenses

• No certifications needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years' related experience.
• Read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings, process sheets, and follow safety rules.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Close vision, manual dexterity, and ability to work with close tolerances.
