Dated Item Clerk
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Output ONLY the HTML fragment — no /, no markdown code fences.
We need to parse the posting.
Content:
- About Us: description of WinCo Foods, purpose, employee-owned, benefits, etc.
- Overview Job Summary: "Inspects dated items, maintains rotates and replenishes stock in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer purchasing needs. Generally works 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 pm to 8:00 am."
- Typical Duties And Responsibilities: a long list of duties.
- Requirements: list of abilities and equipment.
- EEO/Inclusivity: boilerplate, should be removed.
- Fraud alert: also boilerplate, remove.
We need to decide sections: maybe "About Us" (though not in list but could be considered "About the role"? Actually they said use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we can map:
- About the role: could include Overview Job Summary and maybe About Us? But "About Us" is company description, not role. Might be better to have "About the role" for job summary. "Responsibilities" for duties. "Requirements" for abilities and equipment. Possibly "Qualifications" could be same as Requirements? But we should not duplicate. The instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we can combine.
We need to include schedule info: "Generally works 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 pm to 8:00 am." That's schedule info, so we could have a Schedule section.
Pay: not mentioned, so omit.
Benefits: mentioned in About Us: "Our benefits, including top-tier medical plans and tuition support set us apart." Also earlier: "Our benefits, including top-tier medical plans and tuition support set us apart." Also "With more than 500 millionaire employee-owners in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)." That's benefits. So we can include Benefits section.
Thus sections: About the role (job summary), Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (abilities/equipment), Benefits, Schedule.
We must not include headings with filler. Ensure each section has substantive content.
We need to use
for each heading.
Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. For prose, use
.
We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to include all duties as list items. Also requirements as list items (abilities). Benefits as list items? Could be prose but we can list.
We need to remove boilerplate: EEO/Inclusivity, Fraud alert, also the line "The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job. All employees must comply with Company policies and applicable laws. The responsibilities, duties and qualifications required of personnel may vary." That's generic boilerplate; should be removed.
Also "Machines and Equipment Operated:" is part of Requirements; we keep.
We need to keep the schedule info: "Generally works 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 pm to 8:00 am."
We need to keep the About Us description: "Join us at WinCo Foods, where we're more than just a grocery retailer - we're a growing family of over 140 supermarkets in 10 states with over 22,000 employee owners. Our purpose is to make the lives of our customers and employee owners better by offering the lowest possible prices to feed their families. Currently, WinCo is the second largest Employee-Owned company in the United States. With more than 500 millionaire employee-owners in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Our benefits, including top-tier medical plans and tuition support set us apart. In your role, you'll be instrumental in making a real impact in the communities we serve, embodying our purpose every day."
We might split: About the role could include the job summary and maybe the "In your role..." sentence. But we can keep About Us as separate? Not in allowed headings but we could treat as About the role? The instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, etc. It doesn't forbid other headings but suggests those as examples. Safer to stick to those headings. So we can put About the role containing the job summary and maybe the "In your role..." sentence. The About Us description could be placed in a
under About the role or maybe we could add a section "About the company"? Not in list but maybe okay? The instruction: "use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." The e.g. implies those are examples, not exclusive. But they also say "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we could add an "About the company" section if needed. However, the About Us description is substantive. Could we incorporate it into About the role? Probably okay.
Let's structure:
About the role
Inspects dated items, maintains rotates and replenishes stock in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer purchasing needs. Generally works 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00 pm to 8:00 am. In your role, you'll be instrumental in making a real impact in the communities we serve, embodying our purpose every day.
Join us at WinCo Foods, where we're more than just a grocery retailer - we're a growing family of over 140 supermarkets in 10 states with over 22,000 employee owners. Currently, WinCo is the second largest Employee-Owned company in the United States. With more than 500 millionaire employee-owners in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Our benefits, including top-tier medical plans and tuition support set us apart.
But that duplicates benefits mention; we will also have Benefits section.
Better to keep About the role just job summary and schedule? Actually schedule is separate.
Let's decide:
Section About the role: job summary only.
Section Responsibilities: list of duties.
Section Requirements: list of abilities and equipment.
Section Benefits: list of benefits (medical plans, tuition support, ESOP, employee-owned, etc.)
Section Schedule: the shift info.
We need to avoid duplication: The About Us description includes benefits and ESOP; we can still include them in Benefits section.
We need to preserve all substantive information: So we need to include the About Us description somewhere. If we don't have a section for it, we could put it in a under About the role or maybe under a generic "About the company" heading. But we can incorporate it into Benefits? Not ideal.
Maybe we add a section "About the company" as
About the company
. The instruction didn't forbid other headings; they gave examples. It's likely acceptable. But to be safe, we could include it as a under About the role, as it's still about the role context.
Let's do:
About the role
Inspects dated items, maintains rotates and replenishes stock in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer purchasing needs. Our benefits, including top-tier medical plans and tuition support set us apart.
Then Responsibilities: list each duty.
We need to extract duties from "Typical Duties And Responsibilities". Let's list them as bullet points:
- Maintains the quality condition of dated items.
- Completes the Scanned Item Rotation Report at the beginning of each shift and flags items pending rotation within allowable rotation time standards.
- Pulls product prior to expiration and rotates daily per guidelines using the Quality Assurance Display.
- Maintains Quality Assurance database daily including addition of new or untracked items once the database for the store has been established using the Scanned Item Exception Report.
- Scans out Quality Assurance pulled stale/damaged product at the backroom scanner.
- Periodically inspects vendor items reporting short dated issues to the Receiver and Assistant Manager.
- Periodically inspects outer department rotation.
- Periodically inspects LRQT (Large Quantity Items) rotation.
- Audits flagged items thrown by freight crew reporting findings to the Assistant Manager.
- Reports repeated rotation issues to the Assistant Manager and appropriate Department Manager.
- Reports ongoing rotation issues to the Store Manager.
- Notifies store management of large quantities of product pending expiration within two weeks (sooner for refrigerated LRQT) so management can determine whether the product will be marked down.
- Assists customers with questions; performs training duties.
- Maintains a safe, secure and sanitary work environment.
- Performs all job duties and responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
- Reports short dated product shipping from the warehouse to appropriate Warehouse Inventory Supervisor including order number and UPC number.
- Occasionally transmits data to General Office.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
We should keep all.
Requirements: list abilities and equipment.
From Requirements section:

- Work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation; including night, weekends and holidays.
- Reach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 40 lbs., within the range of floor level to overhead occasionally.
- Stand, walk and move rapidly for long periods of time.

- Conduct visual inspection of merchandise being placed on shelves.
- Communicate (hearing & speech) to provide customer service during shift.
- Perform primary duties efficiently and accurately.
- Meet or exceed established scanned item rotation report time standards.

Machines and Equipment Operated:
- Pallet jack
- Hand truck
