The National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) is recruiting for two Research Fellow positions to work on a project for the research study on "Macroeconomic Modelling of Oil Price Shocks on Indian Economy" with NITI AAYOG. The position is initially for six months, renewal subject to performance and fund availability.
About the role
Research Fellows will contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks in the Indian economy under the guidance of senior researchers at NIPFP. They will be expected to conduct rigorous economic analysis, produce high-quality research papers, and present findings to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous economic analysis and develop macroeconomic models
- Collaborate with other researchers and stakeholders to refine and validate models
- Write and present research findings in academic and policy forums
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall research project
Requirements
- PhD in Economics or a related field
- Strong background in macroeconomics and econometrics
- Experience in modeling and analyzing economic data
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- PhD in Economics or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of econometric techniques
- Experience with statistical software such as R, Python, or Stata
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
