Area of Responsibility
- Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
- Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
- Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
- Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
- Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects
Required Skill and Experience
- Experience and good knowledge on IBM Datastage and IBM CloudPak Parallel job and Sequence job developing skills with proficient understanding of parallel framework
- Proficient in shell scripting, SQL, and integration of Datastage assets
- Good understanding of version controlling and code deployment of Datastage assets
- RDBMS knowledge on DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle is an added advantage
Preferred Skill and Experience
- Experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
- Understanding of Data integration, Data Quality, and data architecture
- Experience to Big data technologies is preferred
- Experience in preparing test scripts and test cases to validate data and maintaining data quality
- Knowledge of large data sets and experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Hands-on development, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
- C/I/C exposure
Additional Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
- Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
