About the role

We are seeking a DataPower Dev Admin to develop, administer, and support DataPower and IBM MQ environments. The ideal candidate will design secure integrations, define standard frameworks, and provide innovative solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams to define routing patterns and drive new data center builds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide innovative integration solutions and define common standard frameworks for DataPower.
  • Implement security measures such as OAuth 2.0, WS-Security, Authentication, Authorization, and JWTs.
  • Manage configurations for each domain and appliance, working with application teams on API cleanup.
  • Perform deep-dive error handling, troubleshoot APIs, and document production root cause analyses.
  • Drive initiatives for new Data Center DataPower and WMQ builds.
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, architecture, and application development teams to define routing patterns.
  • Utilize CI/CD DevOps automation tools including Team City, Octopus, GIT Actions, Terraform, and Python.
  • Manage TLS certificate renewals and coordinate upgrades in all environments.
  • Set up and operate the DataPower Operations Dashboard (DPOD).
  • Develop documentation for strategies, migration plans, runbooks, and knowledge articles using Confluence.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with DataPower X2/X3 appliances and secure integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of DataPower proxy implementations and design.
  • Implementation knowledge of DataPower Gateway scripts and XSL Transformations.
  • Knowledge of protocols, orchestration, mediation, encryption, and description.
  • Knowledge of DataPower Administration, appliance initialization, setup, and networking.
  • Knowledge of SOMA/REST management automations for code and configuration migrations.
  • Knowledge of setting up and installing IBM Websphere MQ environments, including failover and HA setup.
  • API debugging skills using tools like Dynatrace or SolarWinds.

  • Knowledge of AI skills and automation of DataPower development using AI.
  • Positive attitude, team-building skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
