Datacenter Technician

Our client, located in Hillsboro, OR, is seeking a Datacenter Technician for a 12-month contract. This is a 100% onsite role focused on server and network hardware repair and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day data center operational support
• Escort and coordinate with dispatched field engineers
• Manage parts shipping, receiving, and inventory
• Maintain and update documentation
• Coordinate with power, cooling, and facility maintenance teams
• Proactively monitor servers and notify customer of issues
• Open and manage escalated service requests; triage and coordinate break/fix activities with Dell support
• Perform troubleshooting, log collection, and follow recommended resolutions
• Support firmware upgrades
• Perform OS installation/reinstallation as needed

Requirements

• Ability to work 100% onsite in Hillsboro, OR
• Experience servicing servers and replacing internal components
• Ability to lift 65 lbs. and work on a ladder
• Basic network troubleshooting experience
• Experience reading Linux logs and gathering basic info using the CLI

• RoCE network experience
• NVIDIA GPU experience
• NIC experience

Pay

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $30–45 per hour. The actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, and will align with internal equity.
