Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- After hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform standard break-fix triage for hardware and software on end user systems
- Provide desk-side software support utilizing Windows Operating Systems
- Respond to incoming service requests in a timely manner and follow set up procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring desktop operations
- PC installs and rollouts
- Troubleshoot network issues
- Assist with general network failures alongside Back Office support infrastructure as a Hands and Eyes resource
- Assist and manage IT for migrations, deployments, build outs, trading floor offices wiring, and cable management
- Attend to trouble tickets and perform fault localization until resolution
- Understand rack/elevation drawings and ability to rack/stack Cisco Spine and Leaf switches
- Mount servers and network devices
- Install server operating systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows Server, Proxmox, etc.)
- Provide 24/7 Tier 2 support for Data Centre Operator (Infrastructures)
- Escort third-party vendors into the data center
Requirements
- Experience working within data centers
- Ability to trace cables in rack to server
- Basic knowledge of LAN, WAN, IPMI, power cables, and patch cables
- Ability to work well both independently and in team settings
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Basic knowledge of Cisco switches
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- May be required to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time
